FEPSA Certification

 

FEPSA is the country’s only non-profit organization to grant a final expense planning professional designation.

While FEPSA membership benefits are available to all active members, the use of the professional designation mark is available only to those who complete the certification process.

The FEPS® professional mark conveys your expertise and credibility, giving you a competitive edge in the Final Expense Insurance market.

In order to display the FEPS® certification designation, members must complete the FEPS® Certification exam and achieve a passing score of at least 70%.

The FEPS® Certification Process

To obtain the FEPS® designation, life insurance agents must meet the following requirements:

  • Become an active, dues-paying member of FEPSA,
  • Pass a background check and,
  • Pass the FEPS® certification examination

The FEPS® Certification Exam

The FEPS® certification exam is a 60-question proctored exam. Materials to help prepare for the exam are provided to members at no charge and cover the necessary topics of the planning processes and ethical issues. The exam may be taken either online with a camera equipped laptop or PC or in-person. Members are allowed 75 minutes to complete the exam.

Members who successfully pass the exam are free to proudly display the FEPS® designation on their website, business cards, and other marketing materials.  They will also receive a diploma suitable for framing.

 

FEPSA maintains the professional standards necessary for competency and ethics in the Final Expense Planning profession. These standards are designed to protect the public, advance professionalism, and enforce standards of professional conduct in the Final Expense Insurance industry.
